B(EAM) SIDES

This is a third-party Supply Drop for Austin Ramsay's excellent game, Beam Saber. That game is required to use any of the mechanics found in these pages.

THE PROJECT

• A creative and a visionary. They have a brief, a goal, a Masterpiece that must be completed.
• They're based on characters such as Grand Magnificent from Friends at the Table's Twilight Mirage season.
• Build MASTERPIECE clocks to upgrade the Quirks on your vehicle, Resist consequences or Acquire Assets relating to your inspiration! 
• Use Abilities like BURNOUT/BURNING UP to increase Effect on rolls relating to your project (while reducing Effect on just about everything else)!
• Use gear like the CANVAS-TYPE DRONE SWARM to rapidly construct works of art on the battlefield, or the Vehicle gear INTERIOR WORKSHOP to show off the Masterpiece in progress!

THE CONTRACT

• A Pilot who made a deal in desperate circumstances. Gain powerful abilities and pay for it with your senses, contacts or your History.

• They're based on characters such as Seshmir Narash from the Room Where it Happened's Luume season.

• Use DEAL to gain uncanny abilities like healing other Pilots, summoning a ritual weapon or seeing in total darkness, so long as you can pay the price...

• Use abilities like BLACK CENTURY to sacrifice your Vehicle's Breakdown to stay in the fight when you'd otherwise take a Scar!

• Use gear like the HANDHELD FLASHDARK to distract and disconcert allies, and Vehicle Gear like the LUCKLESS CHARM to increase your successes at a cost!

THE PROMISE

• A Pilot who made a determined vow with their whole heart.
• Focus your character around the actions and the effect of another, and ask whether they'd approve of you.
• They're based on characters such as Vash the Stampede from Trigun (1998).
• Gain additional XP by standing by and challenging your morals with A SOLEMN VOW. 
• Use moves like PINKY SWEAR and SHAME ON YOU to build bonds with non-combatants amidst the War! 
• And use NOTCHED GRIPS or CONTACT-BASED EMERGENCY COMMS BYPASS to build connections with even the most hardened of fellow Pilots!

THE INHERITOR

• A bad seed from a rotten family tree.
• They're based on characters such as Clementine Kesh from Friends at the Table's Partizan season.
• Take advantage of your home Faction's faith and investment in you!
• Use Abilities like COPYING NOTES to gain experience from others' hard work!
• Use gear like A CAPE or A PARDON to show off and manipulate your audience in equal measure!

THE LORD TEMPORAL

• Walk in eternity! Avoid a copyright infringement suit from the BBC!
• They're based on characters such as the Doctor from BBC's Doctor Who.
